Local businesses are being invited to attend a free HR and Health & Safety breakfast seminar taking place at Chapter House, Belmont Abbey in Hereford on Thursday 16th April.

Hosted by compliance specialists CXCS, the event is designed to provide practical insights for employers, managers and business owners responsible for managing people and workplace compliance.

The morning seminar will feature short presentations from CXCS specialists and guest speakers, focusing on some of the key challenges organisations face when managing HR responsibilities and Health & Safety requirements.

Topics will include managing difficult conversations in the workplace, understanding the real cost of absenteeism, and the importance of risk assessments and method statements in protecting both employees and businesses.

Guest speaker Paul from Wilford Smith Solicitors will explore the impact of absenteeism on organisations and why having clear, well-structured policies in place is essential for employers.

The seminar will also include practical guidance from CXCS specialists Chris, Rhiannon and Stacey, who will share insights on workplace risk management, Health & Safety responsibilities and people management challenges faced by many organisations.

Karen Powell, Managing Director of CXCS, will open the event and provide an overview of the support available to businesses navigating HR, Health & Safety and wider compliance responsibilities.
