The Courtyard’s annual Herefordshire Family Festival returns this October half-term with Family Fun Day taking place on October 28. As voted by last years’ attendees the theme this year is Spirit of the Sea. Children and adults are encouraged to dress up as a range of seas creatures and characters
Family Fun Day will be filled with themed performances, workshops and activities for families to get involved in. The free and low-cost drop-in activities include Biscuit Decorating, Dress up, a Photobooth and Face Painting. Also on offer are a range of low-cost ticketed events, including Little Play World, Drama Tots – Underwater Adventure, Silent Disco, Family Ceilidh with Starlight, Family Drawing Workshop and a Music Making Workshop.
In The Courtyard’s Main House will be a performance of The Storm Whale, a brand-new storybook concert, based on the modern classic book series by Benji Davies. The Storm Whale tells the story of a child, a whale washed up on the beach, and friendships that will change their lives forever and echo down the generations.
Throughout the half term there will be a series of children shows and films programmed to keep little ones entertained including, The Witch Who Couldn’t Sleep, Clare and Cory Share a (Glorious) Story and The Courtyard will also be screening a family favourite, A Sharks Tale. The Three Billy Goats Gruff will take place as The Courtyard’s Family Saturday which will be accompanied by a free pre-activity from 10.30am.
Herefordshire Family Festival is the perfect opportunity to explore all that The Courtyard has to offer and has been described by past attendees as “a lovely atmosphere and so kid friendly.”
