HORROR-FORD returns to The Courtyard this spooky season for its fifth anniversary. HORROR-FORD started back in 2022 as a double bill screening and over the last five years has grown into a month-long celebration of horror, playing new and old titles.

This year’s line-up includes new releases such as, Backrooms, Obsession, Colony and Other Mommy. as well as old favourites, such as Carrie, which will be returning to the big screen for its 50th anniversary.  And, for the first time in decades, horror fans have the chance to see No Such Thing as a Vampire, a lost episode of BBC’s 1968 Late Night Horror series. The episode was recovered earlier this year from a cinema in Dorset and has been revived by Film is Fabulous. Following the episode there will be a screening of 1958’s legendary Dracula with long-lost footage. On October 19 at 6.30pm The Courtyard’s resident film club RADIX will be playing Teenage Sex & Death at Camp Miasma, Jane Schoenbrun’s latest exploration of horror and fixation with media. Attendees will be able to enjoy a 10% discount off the bar after the film.

Cinema Programming and Development Officer, Ethan Hargreaves says, “When it gets to October there’s nothing better than watching a scary movie with a room full of people, and we’ve put together a line-up built to bring out the jumps, yelps and have people hiding behind their hands. We’ve got a mix of 2026 hits and classics so there should be something for every horror fan”

HORROR-FORD’S first ever horror film quiz will take place at The Jam Factory on Wednesday 7 October at 8pm, fancy dress is encouraged and there will be a special prize for the most terrifying team. Finally, there will be a free, 30th anniversary screening over at Jam Factory of From Dusk till Dawn with bespoke cocktails, music from the movie and a burlesque introduction.
